Staff Engineer for Nutanix DBaaS (with Microsoft SQL Server Database expertise)

The Opportunity:
Era team operates like a start-up within Nutanix and works on a product targeting multi-billion dollar database market. We are quite successful as an on-premise offering and see enormous amount of interest from customers in the product. We are now embarking on journey of multi/hybrid cloud managed service and want people with relevant skills and experience to be part of this exciting opportunity.

Your Role:

• Architect, design and develop software to support provisioning and time machine for Microsoft SQL Sever database in Era product.
• Good understanding of web application architecture, design patterns and enterprise integration patternsDevelop a deep understanding of use cases and design innovative solutions for customer requirements.
• Work closely with development, test, documentation and product management teams to deliver high-quality products in a fast-paced environment.
• Engage with customers and support when needed to solve production issues.

What you'll bring:

• Experience working with/ Programming in Windows.
• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server Database, Windows Storage Stack, Volume Shadow Copy Service(VSS)
• Experience working with Storage Devices, Hypervisors ( ESX), Networking.
• Love of programming and rock-solid in one or more languages: Python, C, C++, Java ideally for enterprise-quality software
• Experience with virtualization technologies
• Experience working with OOP, using REST API calls.
• Understanding of cloud solutions architecture
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field required. Advanced degree in Computer Science preferred.
• Experience of 10-15 years in developing enterprise software.
