The Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Software Engineering Tools Architect to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the design, development, and implementation of software engineering
tools and systems that support the software development lifecycle. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to understand their needs and requirements, and to create solutions that improve the efficiency, reliability, scalability, and overall quality of software and the software development processes.

Your Role

• Lead the design and development of software engineering tools and systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand their needs and requirements.
• Develop and maintain technical roadmaps for software engineering tools.
• Ensure the integration of software engineering tools with existing systems and processes.
• Conduct technical feasibility studies and provide recommendations for software engineering tools, including development of proof-of-concepts to validate ROI and effort.
• Develop and implement quality processes for software engineering tools.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in software engineering tools and technology.
• Mentor and lead junior engineers on the team

What You'll Bring

• Strong experience in two or more languages: C++, Python, GoLang, Java, Java Script 
• Built complex, on-prem software and test frameworks 
• Experience with Static & Dynamic Analysis tools and techniques, Code Review, Unit Testing practices. 
• Generation and deployment of toolchains
• Understanding of Dev Ops and CI/CD workflows 
• Experience in building software and compliance with Open Source including security and licensing 
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 10 years of experience in software engineering, including 5+ years of experience as a software engineering tools architect.
• Extensive experience in design, development, and implementation of software engineering tools and systems on Enterprise Systems.
• Strong knowledge of software development methodologies, including Agile, Scrum, and DevOps.
• Experience with cloud computing platforms, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.

The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $223,200 and $445,200/year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
