About the Team

The Module Electrical Engineering team is a tight knit group of EE designers responsible for leading PCBA development from concept through in-fleet support of a wide range of modules.  Our designs span  AV Compute, vehicle control and the sensing stack.  As we break new ground in our quest for autonomous deliveries, our focus on thorough design work and comprehensive validation helps ensure our safety and reliability goals are met.  

About The Role

As a Senior Electrical Engineer you will:

• Help lead a cross-functional team through a product's entire lifecycle
• Design and test RF embedded systems based on embedded SOCs and FPGAs.
• Act as a consultant for compliance and certification efforts
• Design low noise and high bandwidth analog/mixed-signal circuits.
• Design high speed interfaces on boards, as well as high speed serial links crossing modules.
• Define and execute hardware bringup, validation and integration plans.
• Mentor and support our talented junior engineers

About You:

• Demonstrated PCB design skills (schematic/layout), bringup, and debug. Proficient with popular EDA tools.
• Solid understanding of high speed and RF circuit layout.
• Expertise in low noise, high bandwidth signal conditioning, and high speed analog-to-digital/digital-to-analog converters. 
• Hands-on experience with wireless communications including WiFi (through 802.11ax), Bluetooth, GPS, LTE
• Proficiency with lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, signal generators, power supplies, network analyzers, and other debugging tools.
• Growth Mindset - our challenges are new and novel and require new and novel solutions.

Bonus Points/Nice to Haves:

• Experience with 70+GHz RF designs
• Ability to analyze the signal path based on structured testing is preferred.
• Proficiency in Altium design tools and Ansys simulation suite
• Experience with offshore JDM development
• Knowledge of Verilog, C/C++ and Python is a plus

At Nuro, your base pay is one part of your total compensation package. For this position, the reasonably expected pay range is between $152,000 and $228,000 for the level at which this job has been scoped. Your base pay will depend on several factors, including your experience, qualifications, education, location, and skills. In the event that you are considered for a different level, a higher or lower pay range would apply. This position is also eligible for an annual performance bonus, equity, and a competitive benefits package.
