ABOUT

Noyo makes it simple for any software company to embed benefits into their offering through a combination of powerful APIs, robust dashboards, and out-of-the-box tooling. Our backend engineers work on the systems and business logic that support all of the products that we offer. Backend engineers work across all sorts of different areas of Noyo, from building new features for our customers, to building integrations with the insurance carriers we partner with.

We’re looking for a Sr. Backend Engineer who will collaborate effectively with other engineers as well as cross-functionally. We value engineers who can reason with complex systems and business logic, communicate those concepts to our customers and their peers, and design efficient and elegant solutions to our most challenging problems.

    • Design and build best-in-class APIs with an emphasis on usability and performance.
    • Working closely with more senior staff on more complex and or integrated programming issues.
    • May lead or manage projects.

What You'll Be Collaborating On

    • You will work closely with other engineers on the team to build new features from ideation to launch and beyond. This includes collaborative designing, programming, and code reviewing.
    • You will work with the Noyo Product Team and cross-functional stakeholders to design the systems you are building and validate they are truly solving impactful problems.
    • You will provide technical mentorship to other engineers on the team. You should enjoy coaching and making your teammates better.
    • Building out new pages, features, and experience within our customer dashboard.
    • Building new API endpoints for our customers, or improving existing endpoints.
    • Work with our operations team to build internal tooling for particular business logic or tasks to improve operational efficiency.
    • Developing new tools, processes, or workflows to support and improve our API developer experience.

What Experience You'll Need

    • Minimum of 7 years of professional engineering experience.
    • Experience in health-tech is preferred, but not mandatory.
    • Advanced experience in Python.
    • Experience building modern web applications in a product-driven environment. You should feel comfortable balancing risk, speed, and quality in your development process.
