Northrop Grumman Defense Systems sector is seeking a Principal/Sr. Principal Software Developer (UX/UI). This position will be located in Bellevue, NE. The selected candidate will design, develop, document, test and debug applications software and systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions. Conducts multidisciplinary research and collaborates with equipment designers and/or hardware engineers in the planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems for product and commercial software. Determines computer user needs; analyzes system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques and controls; prepares operating instructions; designs and develops compilers and assemblers, utility programs, and operating systems. Ensures software standards are met.

Responsibilities Include:

Conducts multidisciplinary research and develops UX/UI designs to be used by development staff.

Designs, develops, documents, tests and debugs applications software and systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions.

Front end development using React, Javascript.

Attends daily stand ups and assists members of Agile scrum team to meet sprint and quarterly goals.

Ensures software standards are met.

Basic Qualifications for a Principal Software Developer:

One of the following:

High School Diploma/Equivalent with a minimum of 9 years of relevant experience

Bachelors in STEM with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience

Masters with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience

Experience with Python and Java

Experience with Agile methodology

Ability to obtain a DoD Top Secret Clearance

Basic Qualifications for Sr. Principal Software Developer:

One of the following:

High School Diploma/Equivalent with a minimum of 13 years of relevant experience

Bachelors in STEM with a minimum of 9 years of relevant experience

Masters with a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience

Experience with Python and Java

Experience with Agile methodology

Ability to obtain a DoD Top Secret Clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

Current Top Secret clearance

Strong skills in various software development skills in an Agile environment including design and architecture, implementation, optimization, automated testing, and documentation

Backend development using Java, REST/GraphQL APIs, and containerization.

Experience with DevSecOps Continuous Implementation/Continuous Deployment pipeline tools and concepts such as Jenkins, SonarQube, Docker

Experience with Agile tools such as Jira, Git

Experience with Web Development and Microservices

Salary Range: $82,000 - $123,000
Salary Range 2: $101,600 - $152,400
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
