Sr. iOS Engineer

We are always looking to connect with Sr. iOS Engineers who are passionate about pushing mobile technologies to the limits. We value people who are not afraid to dig into other people’s code, think that code is the best documentation, and like to experiment with new technologies while understanding the risk of pushing them to production. We like to work with engineers who believe learning a concept is more important than learning a framework and pick technologies outside their comfort zone when they believe they’re the best tool for solving a particular problem.

As a senior member of our mobile team, you will help us develop new features that take advantage of the latest iOS ecosystem trends and improve our existing systems. As we think of ourselves as mobile developers, you’ll also help review and improve our code base.

• Basing your work on scientifically-proven, peer-reviewed methodologies that are designed by medical professionals
• Collaborating with a team both onsite and offsite -- about 50% of our engineering team is fully remote; we worry about results, not time spent in seats.
• Making significant contributions to feature development on our existing applications
• Keeping up-to-date with latest trends in the iOS ecosystem
• Be a core contributor to the maintenance and improvement of our existing systems
• As a senior member of the engineering team, you will also be a teacher and a leader, providing guidance, education, and support to the rest of the team on all things mobile!

 

What We're Looking For

• 5 years of large-scale iOS experience in a team environment
• A strong understanding of complex native mobile applications to help set the direction for iOS as we scale
• Ability to write code that is well structured, idiomatic, reusable, and easy to understand
• Excellent communicator: comfort explaining technical problems in person and in writing
• Team player: enjoys teaching new concepts to, and collaborating with, the team
• User-oriented: thoughtfulness when considering both our growing and our legacy users when implementing new features and updates, placing them as the priority
• Strong sense of responsibility and ownership; you will have come from an environment in which people are responsible for their own code
• Experience working with Android is a plus

Base Salary

• The US base salary range for this full-time position is $171,000 - $231,000.
• Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting is based on Noom’s estimate as of the date of publication and reflects the minimum and maximum target for the position across all US locations. The actual placement of the candidate within the range is based on factors including but not limited to relevant experience, assessment of functional skills and behavioral competencies, scope, and location. This range is not inclusive of any discretionary bonus or equity package.
