About the Role:
As a Software Engineer, you will leverage your skills writing software to push the performance and capabilities of Nimble’s world class technology to new levels. You will design and implement automated robotic coordination software, database-driven warehouse software, and use reinforcement learning AI models to solve complex operational tasks.  You will be at the forefront of automation innovation and make the impossible possible.

Responsibilities:

    • Design and develop automation workflows, write unit/integration/system tests, conduct code reviews to make sure your work is rigorously designed, elegantly coded and effectively tuned for performance and quality
    • Develop and maintain cloud-based services working in conjunction with robotic fleets
    • Debug and troubleshoot failures in complex scenarios
    • Recreate corner cases from production logs into repeatable tests and bug fixes
    • Design prototype software with a path to production level quality and robustness

Qualifications:

    • Fast learner, A-player, great work ethic, and high ambitions
    • BS/MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or other related discipline. Equivalent experience also considered.
    • Experience with complex software systems working in real-time with embedded systems
    • Experience with one or more of the following languages: Python, Golang, Rust, Typescript, Dart, C, C++
    • Critical thinking about how and why software systems fail
    • Knowledge of Linux fundamentals

Nice to have:

    • Experience with cloud native environments, kubernetes, AWS, GCP
    • Experience with high-level communication protocols like gRPC, protobuf, etc.
    • Experience with Test Management and Requirements software
    • Experience with database software such as Postgres, MongoDB, etc.

Additional Requirements

    • Willing to work extended hours and weekends if needed
