About the Role:
Help us advance our robotics moonshot by scaling our data engineering efforts. Drive design and development of data infrastructure across our products and internal tools. You will play a critical role in working with our world-class cross-functional team to architect and build the world’s most advanced robotic systems for the world’s biggest robotics opportunity!

Responsibilities

    • Design and implement scalable big data pipelines (streaming and batch) and leverage data storage
    • Implement production-grade reliability frameworks to enforce data availability and quality SLAs
    • Build highly reliable tables combining and transforming data across multiple sources, including high-frequency sensors data
    • Develop and deploy high-quality data tools using modern tools and frameworks
    • Provide input on all aspects of product development from brainstorming to final delivery.
    • Welcome new challenges and work independently across disciplines to investigate issues and identify solutions
    • Can effectively communicate with technical and non-technical audiences and capture data requirements from stakeholders
    • Will champion data integrity and quality efforts

Qualifications

    • Fast learner, A-player, excellent work ethic, and ambitious
    • 3+ years of experience in a tech company or in a fast-growing startup
    • BS/MS/Ph.D. in Computer Science, Mathematics, Computer Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
    • Strong experience writing production code in Python, Java
    • Ability to identify and resolve bugs and issues.
    • Kafka/Spark/Databricks experience
    • Experience with AWS

Nice To Have

    • Participation in hackathons 
    • Experience with robotics, machine learning environments
    • Data Pipelines Performance tuning and Optimization

Additional Requirements

    • Willing to work extended hours and weekends if needed
    • This position is based in our San Francisco office
