Developer Relations Engineer (Remote, Europe)

Nillion is a secure computation network that is fundamentally changing the way high-value data is stored and used throughout the world. Processing transactions via blockchain was the tip of the iceberg of what information and industries, decentralized technology and privacy-enhancing technologies (PETs) can impact. The Nillion network expands these technologies into new use cases and verticals like AI, biometric data, health data, voting, consumer data and more.

As reported by TechCrunch, Nillion in the midst of the bear market of 2022 raised the highest valuation for a Seed Round reported in Q4-2022. The project has attracted some of the top talent in tech, including the Founder of Indiegogo (Slava Rubin), Associate General Counsel of Coinbase  (Lindsay Danas Cohen), Co-Founder of Hedera Hashgraph (Andrew Masanto) and several other high profile team members. 

As a Developer Relations Engineer, you'll work to build and maintain projects and help showcase Nillion's Technology whilst helping to develop technical content to engage with Web3.0 Community on a global stage. This opportunity will require occasional travel to key industry events including meetups, workshops and presentations.

• Work closely with our engineering and product teams to define and enhance the developer experience. 
• Draw from your own experience building + community builders to directly influence product development and improvements.
• Help build and maintain example projects that not only demonstrate the capabilities of Nillion's technology but also serve as practical guides for developers looking to implement similar solutions.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, write technical content and release notes, and create systems diagrams that help developers understand and utilize Nillion's features effectively.
• Actively participate in and moderate discussions on platforms like Discord and GitHub. Use these interactions to gather feedback, provide support, and foster a robust community around Nillion’s technology.
• Travel to key industry events and meetups to engage with the community, gather insights, and promote Nillion's technology through workshops and presentations.
• Collaborate regularly with both engineering and product teams to align on developer needs and product capabilities. 
• Coordinate with the marketing team to ensure that communications and campaigns accurately reflect the technical depth and innovation of Nillion products.

Essential Skills and Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages.
• Solid understanding of software development practices, system architecture, and modern web development.
• Open source contributions with clear, maintainable code and documentation and/or strong technical blogs with
• embedded code examples.
• Community Engagement Skills: Demonstrated ability to engage with and support developers.
• Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of explaining complex technical issues clearly and concisely to a variety of audiences.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with different programming paradigms and environments in both web2 and web3
• Python, JavaScript (TypeScript), Solidity and / or Rust experience
• Cryptography Knowledge, Familiarity with cryptography concepts, especially Multi-Party Computation (MPC) and Fully Homomorphic Encryption (FHE)
