Associate Engineer, Pune

Sr. Engineers will lead ADLM automation projects and be in charge of the planning, development, implementation, testing and maintenance of the solutions developed. As an automation engineer, you will deliver automated solutions for software processes. You’ll have to work closely with other teams to help discover and eliminate problems by gathering requirements and implementing automation on services or business processes.  

Responsibilities:

• Automation and scripting with Bash, Python (preferred), Groovy and Java. 
• Process scheduling using Apache Airflow 
• Containers and orchestrators (Docker & Kubernetes) 
• Setting up and managing distributed and three-tier applications. 
• Source code management and applying best practices, Git workflows. 
• Database administration and writing SQL queries. 
• Linux and Windows administration. 
• Implementing authentication and authorization, SAML, federated authentication. 
• A variety of technology areas including networking, storage, security and cloud. 
• Interacting with multiple business areas. 
• Automation and robotics 
• Programming and coding experience 
• Project management 
• Agile, cloud and DevOps 
• Analytical and problem-solving skills 
• Communication and leadership skills 
• Experience in computer science or engineering 
• Be an independent thinker, with initiative and able to excel as a team member.

• Have at least intermediate experience in Cloud computing services.

• Have a client focused approach, our clients are software developers of all experience levels. 
• Be able to communicate clearly with clients and management in a respectful manner. 
• Master of prioritizing and managing time efficiently and independently. 

Qualifications

• 0-8 years of applicable experience
• Troubleshoot backend and frontend applications running on Linux and Windows. 
• Write automation scripts using Bash, Python, Airflow, Groovy and Java. 
• Write SQL queries for a variety of databases like PostgreSQL, MySQL and  SQL Server. 
• Monitor applications, resolve issues and proactively address warnings. 
• Document new procedures and constantly update and improve existing documentation. 
• Provide technical guidance and educate junior team members. 
• Define and follow best practices and procedures as established by the team and the organization. 
• Occasionally must be willing to work weekends and evening to work unplanned incidents. 
• Occasionally must work in on-call rotations. 
• Depending on location, you may be required to work on a different shift that matches the time zone of the clients. 
• Identify opportunities for automation within software processes. 
• Design and execute QA tests using scripts that automatically test functionality. 
• Run tests for databases, systems, networks, applications, hardware and software. 
• Identify bugs and quality issues in development, service or business processes. 
• Install applications and databases relevant to automation. 
• Collaborate with other business units to understand how automation can improve workflow. 
• Gather requirements from clients, customers or end-users to develop the best automation solutions.
