DevOps Engineer III

We’re looking for a DevOps Engineer to join our amazing team as we continually expand and improve our software development processes. We need someone who is comfortable creating new tools and workflows as well as using and updating existing work done by others. Our ideal candidate is skilled in container and cloud technologies as well as in server administration, programming, and automation. This person loves making the lives of other engineers easier.

Key Responsibilities

• Work in tandem with our engineering team to identify and implement cloud-based solutions for the company
• Manage cloud environments in accordance with company security guidelines
• Educate teams on the implementation of new private cloud based initiatives, providing associated training as required
• Coordinate with an SRE team to gather requirements for new services and build them
• Participate in an on-call rotation supporting production support systems. (i.e., supporting our own services is going to be part of the job)
• Network design and implementation
• Network troubleshooting
• Network performance tuning

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience
• Minimum 5 years of experience in design and implementation of Linux servers
• 3 years’ experience in OpenStack design, build and support the project preferred
• Solid understanding and experience with Nginx
• Solid understanding of and experience in troubleshooting networks
• Experience with infrastructure, application monitoring, and alerting systems

Compensation, Rewards & Benefits:

The salary or hourly wage offered by Nextiva to external candidates considers a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skills sets, experience, training, licensure and certifications, etc. Our compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. Our estimate of the expected hiring range for the position as posted is $105,000 - $168,000.
