Data Platform Engineer

Location: Kfar Saba, Israel (hybrid)

We're looking for a data enthusiast to join our dynamic and highly results-oriented Data Engineering team. The right person will join our team, define, create and maintaine our data architecture. He/She will also mentor other data engineers and will be the focal point for the professional knowledge.

We work on AWS with cutting-edge data services, and are constantly utilizing new tools and technologies. We’re spending a lot of time and effort into investigating and exploring new technologies while making sure that they will bring us to the next level.

What You’ll Do: 

• Build and own the next-generation data architecture of Next Insurance
• Lead major data processes, pipelines and infrastructure projects
• Work with multiple stakeholders (DevOps, Security, architects, etc.)
• Take an active part in building the infrastructure, be hands-on
• Research, learn and deploy new data technologies
• Mentor data engineers and help them grow

What We Need: 

• At least 5 years of significant experience in a similar role, including:
• Data architecture design and implementation
• Big data processing (Spark, Presto, BigQuery, etc.)
• Data streaming (Kafka, Kinesis, etc.)
• Data modeling
• SQL at expert level
• Major programming language (Python is a big advantage)
• Cloud computing (preferbally AWS)
• Loves to work with people and mentor them
• Strong troubleshooting skills
• DevOps experience - CI/CD, Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes, Linux, Git
