Engineering at NexHealth

The healthcare industry is highly regulated and fragmented. Patients crave unified access to their healthcare information. Doctors want to modernize the patient experience. Developers want to quickly build and launch new products. To do this, we need to create a multi-faceted product which each of these stakeholders cannot live without.

Our engineering team is building new infrastructure to bolster the healthcare industry. We address complex problems and artfully connect antiquated systems with NexHealth's technology to create a seamless experience for patients, doctors, and developers.

The Software Development Engineer in Test will build out our testing infrastructure to streamline our integration developments, updates, and deployments. You will create tests to identify bugs, vulnerabilities, and reduce the amount of time between development and deployment. You will own the tools, frameworks, and processes around testing. 

What You'll Do:

• Develop and maintain automated test infrastructure for our integrations platform or API
• Develop tests for each of our integrations to aid in new customer installations
• Verify code and development meets best practices for HIPAA and Security concerns.
• Manage code deployments to production and carry out post-deployment verification
• Identify software problems during testing, determine steps to reproduce them, and enter them into a defect-tracking database with detailed troubleshooting.
• Build clear, concise, and complete test-related documentation
• Collaborate with the development team to deliver comprehensive solutions

What You'll Bring:

• 3+ years hands-on experience with automation frameworks
• 2+ years of experience in Ruby or Python
• Expert knowledge in relational databases
• Expert in debugging and reviewing software application code
• Expert in testing database integration issues, preferably with Postgres and SQL
• Ability to create clear and concise technical documentation
• Experience with screen scraping tools such as Selenium
• Strong communication skills
