Engineering at NexHealth
 
The healthcare industry is highly regulated and fragmented. Patients crave unified access to their healthcare information. Doctors want to modernize the patient experience.  Developers want to quickly build and launch new products. To do this, we need to create a multi-faceted product which each of these stakeholders cannot live without. 
 
Our engineering team is building new infrastructure to bolster the healthcare industry.  We address complex problems and artfully connect antiquated systems with NexHealth’s technology to create a seamless experience for patients, doctors, and developers.
 
What You'll Do:
  • Build back-end services and APIs to support new and existing product initiatives
  • Drive our product forward through developing a scalable backend infrastructure.
  • Collaborate closely with other team members to design solutions that will stay ahead of our rapid growth.
  • Participate in all phases of SDLC - requirements, design, and development through testing, deployment, maintenance and support.
  • Create new microservices and help decompose our monolith
  • Implement solutions through the entirety of the SDLC, including testing, deployment, and operationalization
  • Pairing with other team members, embracing a culture of collaboration and mutual respect to solve complex problems
What You'll Bring:
  • Experience building large-scale backend systems and frontend interfaces
  • Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree, preferably in CS, or equivalent experience
  • Ability to write high performance production quality code in a fast paced environment
  • Experience building a public API
  • Ruby
  • Scaling PostgreSQL is a plus
  • Effectively give and receive feedback, both positive and constructive
  • Experience building projects from end to end in a collaborative environment 
  • Interest in building a society-changing product millions of people use while changing the landscape of healthcare
  • Experience with ambiguous environments, able to adapt to change quickly and efficiently
