Summary
We are looking for a Software Engineer with DevOps and SRE focus, who can work in a fast paced environment that is building the next gen WAN edge & Cloud networking. The qualified candidate will be in full capacity in that role and will join a team of full stack and dataplane engineers who work in front end, back end, dataplane and devops initiatives needed to accomplish our vision.
The ideal candidate would have most of the following qualifications. We will consider candidates who have some of these qualifications but are interested in working on this skillset.
Job Responsibilities
- Partner with engineering and product management team to architect and build a highly available, performant, secure infrastructure and management solution.
- Develop innovative ways to smartly measure, monitor & report application and infrastructure health
- Experience improving the performance of micro-services and solve scaling/performance issues
- Deploy updates and fixes, and provide Level 2 technical support
- Build tools to reduce occurrence of errors and improve customer experience
- Perform root cause analysis of production errors and resolve technical issues
- Design procedures for system troubleshooting and maintenance
- Gain deep knowledge of our cloud application stack
- Capacity management and planning
- Function well in a fast-paced and rapidly-changing environment
Preferred Qualifications
- BS or MS in Computer Science or similar technical degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum 8+ years of experience in DevOps / SRE domain managing highly scalable cloud-native infrastructure.
Preferred Technical Skills:
- 8+ years experience with troubleshooting Unix/Linux
- 3+ years experience with managing highly scalable micro services based infrastructure.
- Understanding of Networking concepts - TCP/IP, SSL/TLS, IPSec, GRE, VPN, Load balancing
- Experience in one or more of the programming languages: Python, Go
- Experience with Docker, VM, Kubernetes is a must.
- Experience with web programming and HTTP based APIs (REST or GraphQL)
- Experience with Ansible, Puppet, Terraform, Kubernetes, SQL and NoSQL datastores, CI/CD
- Hands-on working with GCP, AWS cloud and automation in a highly available, scalable and distributed system production environment will be a plus.
- Experience with algorithms, data structures, complexity analysis, and software design will be a bonus

- Demonstrated ability to own and deliver projects independently
- Strong interpersonal communication skills and the ability to work well in a diverse, team-focused environment with developers, Product Managers, etc.,
