You will be working on various projects and services that power core e-commerce and enterprise engines at Monotype. You will be writing good quality code, review code, design scalable and optimised architecture and drive critical projects to success.

What you’ll be doing:

• Work in a small scrum team to design and build high-quality customer-facing software.
• Building modular and reusable components and libraries.
• Optimizing application for performance.
• Code profiling.
• Implementing automated testing integrated into development and maintenance workflows.
• Gain product knowledge by successfully developing features for our applications.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders, peers, and others.
• Strive for continuous improvement in customer experience, tools & processes.

What we’re looking for:

• 1-3 years development experience developing complex, scalable web-based applications.
• Proficient in PHP with 1+ years of development experience in PHP.
• Strong knowledge of object-oriented development methodologies.
• Experience with web services, REST API.
• Experience with NoSQL databases like MongoDB.
• Experience working with web services (XML, JSON, REST) and Microservices.
• Strong computer science fundamentals in algorithms and data structure.
• Experience in working in Agile development environment.
• Experience with GIT, Bitbucket or GitHub and the Features branching workflow.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to work in a global and distributed environment with agility to hold communication with different audiences.
• Expertise in PHP based frameworks like Laravel/Symfony.
• Experience with Amazon AWS services is a plus.
• Experienced in test driven development, continuous integration and continuous delivery is a plus.
• Experience in refactoring & rewriting code with scalable design patterns.
• Exposure to Docker and Kubernetes.
