Senior Project Manager- Cloud PPM

Responsibilities

• 60% Project / Program Management and 40% FinOps
• Implement and maintain the FinOps framework to enhance financial visibility and accountability
• Conduct detailed analysis of financial data, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
• Monitor and analyze costs related to cloud services and identify areas for optimization
• Forecast AWS budgets and Monitor Actuals and regular reports to management
• Collaborate with IT, operations, and other departments to optimize costs associated with cloud services and technology infrastructure
• Implement cost-saving initiatives and provide recommendations for efficient resource utilization
• Manages IT, Security and/or Cloud projects for internal stakeholders from inception to closure.
• Prepare Efficient Project plans using standard project planning tools.
• Communicates with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure all dependencies are addressed, may communicate with Software Engineering and Professional Services in addition to direct teams such as IT, Cloud, Security, DevOps
• Participates and enforces change control, including review and enforcement of Change Tickets (RFCs) and participation in Change Advisory Boards (CABs)
• Experience with AWS Cost Manager, Billing & Discounts

Skills

• 5+ years of Project management experience with DevOps and/or IT
• 3+ years AWS cost management
• Certification in FinOps or related field.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Demonstrable Experience of executing at least 6-7 formal projects.
• Experience managing cross functional resources in a global environment.
• Project planning for projects with 5-10 resources and develop project controls to guarantee successful execution.
• Excel, pivot tables, charts, reports proficiency required.
• Jira knowledge highly desirable
• Technical working knowledge of public loud and/or IT environment.
• Nice to have formal experience and or certifications in one or both of following: Project Management, eg. PMI/PMP, IT Service Management, eg ITIL Foundation and specifically Change Management/Change Control
• Juggle with multiple projects and be adaptive to switching contexts often.
• Be flexible and willing to stretch as we need to cover multiple time zones.
• Be flexible to take up projects from any area/department.
