The Opportunity

Exciting news - Mixmax hit $12 million in annual revenue and we’re profitable! We just raised more money and are looking to invest more to accelerate growth.

We’re hiring a product-focused software engineer with backend expertise and strong attention to detail. As an Engineer, you’ll build the next generation of Mixmax features, scale distributed systems to handle millions of events, and drive quality across a large codebase, all as part of a globally distributed team.

We are not considering US applications at the time being only candidates based in LATAM OR Europe.

Teams typology Mixmax has three cross-functional product teams in charge of developing reliable, robust, bug-free, cost-effective solutions focused on Business goals.

Those teams have dedicated Engineering Managers, Product Managers, Designers, and Frontend/Backend Engineers. There are also enablement teams helping to achieve high-performing standards such as Core, QA, or Data.

The team

We’re hiring a Backend Engineer for our team Rocket 🚀.

Team Rocket is the group responsible for integrations at Mixmax. The Mixmax tool already holds significant power for sales teams, but its potential is further amplified when integrated with third-party tools and CRMs, like Salesforce and Hubspot. The primary objective of the team is to ensure flawless synchronization of information between these external tools and Mixmax, so that all product features utilize relevant and up-to-date data effectively. The team is presently comprised of five developers, a designer, a product manager, and an engineering manager.

We work remotely across different time zones. Hence, effective written and oral communication is fundamental for us to stay in sync. We're all about being honest, open, and supportive. We've got each other's backs!

Our technology stack consists of Node, Typescript, React, AWS, Terraform, and GitHub (with GitHub Actions). Through this tech stack, we ensure efficiency and robustness in our integrations, enabling Mixmax to thrive as a powerful sales tool.

• Within Three Months, You'll

  • Understand your team’s domain
  • Release big features in small, self-contained increments and evaluate their success using data
  • Make impactful improvements to your team’s payloads running in production

  Within Six Months, You'll

  • Contribute to the development of critical projects while working closely with other engineers
  • Work with your team to improve our architectural patterns, scalability, and developer experience
  • Contribute to the culture of a growing team
  • Join our on-call rotation

• Preferred Skills and Background

  • We're looking for engineers who have experience with the core of our tech stack, which includes ES6 JavaScript and/or TypeScript, Node.js, and AWS. We also use Mongodb and Dnynamodb.
  • Mixmax is still growing fast, so we love new teammates who strive to grow personally and professionally beyond just expanding their technical abilities
  • We take pride in the quality of our work, so we're looking for engineers with experience maintaining and supporting the systems they've built
  • We're a distributed team in multiple time zones, so excellent documentation and communication skills are paramount!
