We continuously improve the relevance of search results across different information that Miro stores, such as boards, templates, embedded documents, and users.

About the role
We are building a best-in-class search experience, so users can find what they need reliably, securely and fast.
We are looking for a Staff Engineer to drive the design and implementation of the technology supporting this mission.
What you'll do
Drive the creation of a performant, reliable and secure search experience:
- Define targets for relevance, performance, reliability, extensibility
- Design target architecture to provide an outstanding search experience
- Drive alignment across teams to get buy-in on technical designs and make sure the team’s needs from others are covered
- Lead development of the designed services
- Mentor the team on the competence of the above
What you’ll need
- Experience architecting high-load, multi-tenant, enterprise-grade, and secure systems
- Expertise in Microservices architecture
- Expertise in modern search engine technology such as Elasticsearch and AWS OpenSearch
- Experience in the search domain
- Ability to collaborate with partners across teams and engineers within the team
