Senior Software Engineer (Canvas Frameworks)

Core Product is the essence of Miro. It’s the most used and important part of the product for a user, and a critical ingredient for the success of our business. Within Core Product, the mission for the Canvas Frameworks is to empower users to communicate with still and moving images in an engaging and professional way and also empower them to compose professional looking and informative Miro boards with ease.

About the Role

We’re looking for a Fullstack Engineer that will play with the team to achieve our high-reaching goals. We expect you to have a good software engineering experience, readiness to inspire change, experiment in search of the best solutions, and partner with your peers to enhance the user experience of Miro. Collaboratively you will be responsible for the crucial parts of the code and will be solving difficult challenges.

What you’ll do

• Build amazing features for our users
• Execute the Engineering Strategy
• Setup engineering process for ongoing delivery and sustainability of features on the product
• Transition old/deprecated functionality to new architecture
• Help the team define better API’s
• Successful and timely deliveries of product features planned
• Listen and understand the technical needs of Canvas Frameworks along with the tools and standards prevalent in the industry
• Ensure quality of user functionalities and application stability
• Define frontend observability standards and drive implementation

What you’ll need

• Experience in working on development teams of 20+ people
• Experience maintaining and evolving large and complex web applications
• Experience with modern web-stack development (Javascript or TypeScript, Webpack, React)
• Backend development in major languages (Node.JS and Java preferred) and experience with OAuth, REST API, and SQL/noSQL databases
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to build relationships and work across a wide range of teams
• Design and drive technical solutions highlighting risks, alternative solutions and architectural tradeoffs
• Ability to explain your intentions to other engineers and get buy-in on your architectural vision
• Experience with frontend observability using both technical and business metrics
• Building the continuous process of rapid prototyping in code between product-design-engineering
