QA Engineer (Mobile Native Application Testing)

We are looking for a Quality Assurance (QA) engineer to develop and execute exploratory and automated tests to ensure product quality. QA engineer responsibilities include designing and implementing tests, debugging and defining corrective actions. You will also review system requirements and track quality assurance metrics (e.g. defect densities and open defect counts.) The QA technician role plays an important part in our company’s product development process. Our ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting tests before product launches to ensure software runs smoothly and meets client needs, while being cost-effective. If you hold an engineering background and enjoy providing end-to-end solutions to software quality problems, we’d like to meet you. Ultimately, you should monitor all stages of software development to identify and resolve system malfunctions to meet quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Review requirements, specifications and technical design documents to provide timely
• Estimate, prioritise, plan and coordinate testing activities
• Identify, record, document thoroughly and track bugs
• Exposure to different kinds of testing such as regression, sanity, integration testing etc
• Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies.
• Able to communicate and collaborate effectively with stakeholder.

Mandatory skills

• Experience in Automation Mobile application in Swift, Kotlin.
• Experience in development ,working with , customising and extending test automation framework.
• Producing clear and concise test reports and releasing notes to co-workers when needed.
• Experience with one or more continuous integration tools (e.g team city, Jenkins), Version control ( e.g git) .

Good To have skills

• Have exposure about uploading apps to App Store/play store
• Knowledge and experience in Agile project delivery framework: taking a proactive role in understanding the business requirements and coming up with the test strategies.
• Integration of automation reports with communication channels such as slack or Skype

Who you Are

• You're a well rounded software engineer in test with at least 5 years of experience writing automated test code.
• You are experienced in designing and developing automated tests for android and iOS mobile applications (experience working with native applications is an added advantage)
• You are highly organised, detail oriented and able to work autonomously with minimal direction
• You are able to build strong, cohesive partnerships with internal and external stakeholders
