Software Engineer II, Backend Engineering

Mimecast is looking for a Software Engineer to join our Brand Exploit & Protect team in Canada! The BEP team is responsible for building an anti phishing monitoring software to keep the threat actors at bay.

As a Software Engineer , you will play a pivotal role in designing and implementing cloud security products using the most up-to-date technologies and frameworks, including Java, Kotlin, NodeJS (TypeScript), Angular, Spring Boot, Microservices, Kubernetes, Hibernate, MySQL, MongoDB, and RabbitMQ.

What You'll Do:

• Work on technical challenges that span over complex micro-service based architectures.
• Keep the threat actors away through building features that prevent malicious activity.
• Work with modern cloud related technologies (GCP or AWS experience is preferred)

What You'll Bring:

• At least five years of hands-on professional experience.
• Professional Experience with Java and Spring Framework.
• Exposure to Hibernate and Docker frameworks.
• MySQL database knowledge.
• MongoDB database knowledge – an advantage.
• An understanding of front-end web technologies like Angular (Typescript) / React.
• Experience with designing and architecting large-scale systems.
• Knowledge of Kotlin & NodeJS - an advantage.
