Microsoft’s Azure Data engineering team is leading the transformation of analytics in the world of data with products like databases, data integration, big data analytics, messaging & real-time analytics, and business intelligence. The products our portfolio include Microsoft Fabric, Azure SQL DB, Azure Cosmos DB, Azure PostgreSQL, Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Service Bus, Azure Event Grid, and Power BI. ​​Within Azure Data, the big data analytics team provides a range of products that enable data engineers and data scientists to extract intelligence from all data – structured, semi-structured, and unstructured. We build the Data Engineering, Data Science, and Data Integration pillars of Microsoft Fabric.​ 

​​The Cosmos platform team is hiring for a Software Engineer who can assist the team building tools and services which automates/ simplifies team's work. Engineer has to collaborate with the partner teams and maintain the end to end deployments. 
Engineer has to plan and improvements of the underlying big data platform

Required/Minimum Qualifications

• ​​Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or related technical discipline with proven experience coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR equivalent experience.
• Familiarity writing  C# or Java programs is preferred.
• Fluency in scripting languages like PowerShell, Bash, etc.
• Strong understanding of cloud infrastructures like Azure or AWS.
• Experience with automation of build, test and deployment infrastructures.
• A firm grasp of basic networking concepts including routing, subnets and firewalls.

The Cosmos Analytics Platform team within Azure Data manages millions of large-scale data jobs on hundreds of thousands of machines serving critical big data pipelines, extracting intelligence from all data structured, semi-structured, and unstructured. The Cosmos platform processes Exabytes of data daily and is world's largest analytics infrastucture.

We are looking for passition individuals for a Software Engineering role who can assist the team building tools and services which automates/ simplifies team's work. Enhancing the underlying big data platform  w.r.t. security, scale and reliability are part of the core responsibilities. Engineer has to collaborate closely with the partner teams and maintain the end to end deployments and manage service uptime.
