Software Engineer II

Microsoft’s Cloud business is experiencing explosive growth, and the Cloud Supply Chain (CSCP) organization is responsible for enabling the infrastructure underlying this growth. Our mission is to deliver the world’s computer with an industry-leading supply chain. CSCP is responsible for strategic sourcing, customer demand forecasting, capacity planning and management, supply chain planning and execution, capacity provisioning, and decommissioning and dispositioning of datacenter assets worldwide.

We are actively seeking a Software Engineer II to join our Supplier Experience Engineering team at Microsoft. This team, operating under the Cloud Supply Chain (CSCP) organization, plays a crucial role in constructing a state-of-the-art Supplier Collaboration Platform. Our team is responsible to build capabilities for seamlessly integrating with a diverse range of suppliers, supporting the ever-expanding needs of our Cloud Supply Chain. We also equip our platform with robust collaboration capabilities, enabling essential interactions with suppliers involved in the creation and distribution of products such as Xbox, Surface, and HoloLens for customers worldwide. We seek a Software Engineer II with a proven track record, someone who possesses a keen interest in developing high-scale cloud services. These services will serve as the bedrock for the next generation of our Supplier Collaboration platform, which in turn powers Microsoft’s Cloud and Devices business. Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
  • OR equivalent experience.

Other Requirements:

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: 

• Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Working experience with Representational State Transfer (REST), service-oriented architecture and cloud services (Azure or similar).
• Ability to analyze and solve hard problems.
• Experience in working with supplier collaboration technologies like Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) will be a plus.
• Knowledge of working with SAP or integrating with SAP.
• Full stack development experience using Angular, .NET or similar technologies
• Ability to drive large, complex programs and solutions.
• Effective team member and a good communicator.

Software Engineering IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $94,300 - $182,600 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $120,900 - $198,600 per year.
