The Viva Insights team is looking to hire a Software Engineer II to work on cutting edge features by unearthing Insights from the vast amount of data. Our teams build delighting customers experiences that use generative AI at its core.

Required Qualifications:

• Strong computer science fundamentals and proven algorithm design capability. 
• 3+ years of hands-on software design and coding experience. 
• Understand efficient data structures, object-oriented programming, familiar with algorithms and have a track record of shipping software-based services.  
• Experience in Web technologies: HTML, Javascript, React, CSS, Typescript, Flux, etc. 
• Excellent technical, cross group collaboration and communication skills

Other Requirements:

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:

• Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Proven ability to instrument, profile, debug, and optimize code and resolve complex issues with distributed systems across multiple layers. 
• Enjoy learning new technologies. 
• Hands on experience in delivering web experience on a variety of form factors e.g. tablets, phones, etc. 
• Fullstack experience with exposure of working on backend technology will be an added advantage 
• Proficiency in object-oriented development, with C# and .Net Framework (preferred) or any other object-oriented programming languages such as Java, C++ or related will be an added advantage

Our technical challenges are broad and deep, and our product needs to evolve quickly. As a frontend engineer, you will partner with our program managers and visual designers to build intuitive, accessible, and engaging web based user interfaces across a range of form factor surfaces, including experiences integrated in Microsoft Teams and Outlook. You will be contributing to our engineering systems (developer, monitoring and manageability tools) to improve your team’s engineering agility and our ability to deliver a world class cloud service. Experience working on designing and building efficient back end compute and middle tier infrastructure will be added advantage. Experience with Azure or other cloud services is a plus. You should be comfortable dealing with ambiguity and a shifting landscape. You should be passionate about iterating fast, being data driven, learning from customers and getting the right design for our customers. Over time, our frontend engineers will find specific areas of interest to go deep as subject matter experts and continue to solve end to end user problems across technical stacks.
