We are looking for a Software Engineer 2 to join us on the journey of delivering the building blocks for digitally transforming workloads across the world. Required/Minimum Qualifications (From Role Library, plus any other HM-determined qualifications) 

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related technical discipline AND 2+ years technical engineering experience scripting in Powershell, bash scripts or similar OR equivalent experience. 
  • Familiarity with managing Azure at enterprise-scale i.e., Azure Governance, Azure Policy as Code, and Azure Landing Zones. 
  • Experience with infrastructure as code with ARM, Terraform and/or Bicep. 
  • Experience in working with Azure services and resources. 

Other Requirements 

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check:  

  • This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter. 

 

 

Preferred/Additional Qualifications (Optional, at HM discretion) 

  • Experience developing in an object-oriented language i.e., C#. 
  • Azure certifications such as Azure Administrator Associate or Azure Security Engineer Associate. 
  • Experience working with Kubernetes and Open Policy Agent Policies. 
  • Experience working with regulatory frameworks and applying them to cloud environments. 
  • Experience with Microsoft Purview Compliance Manager  
  • Knowledge of compliance frameworks and regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, ISO 27001).

Responsibilities: 

 

We are looking for passionate people with familiarity with configuring Azure services and applying Azure Governance, Azure Policy and Landing Zones to meet compliance, security and regulatory needs. 

 

Responsibilities include:  

  • Develop secure, reliable and compliant tools and Azure Policies to meet governance standards across Azure resources. 
  • Prototype and iterate on new components and customer focused Policy as Code, including custom policy definitions and initiatives. 
  • Collaborate with appropriate stakeholders to understand business requirements. 
  • Contribute to continuous improvements, incl. metrics & test automation of deliverables, and recommend improvements to existing compliance tooling and policies. 
  • Maintain operations of live service as issues arise on a rotational, on-call basis. 
  • Collaborate with the security and compliance teams to align organizational policies and standards.
