Software Engineer I

Join us in the Xbox Platform and Experiences team and take part in the mission to deliver the next generation of Xbox to our Players and Creators 

You’ll work closely with other engineers in an agile environment, developing modern gaming ecosystems in support of future gaming growth. Expect to leverage industry leading standards including TypeScript, REACT/REDUX, C#, C++ and other cutting-edge technology. Our software experiences are highly service driven, so some level of back-end co-development is a possibility, as well. Qualifications:  

• 4+ years professional coding experience in relevant languages and technologies (JavaScript/TypeScript, React/Redux, C#, C/C++, Python, etc.)  
• Excellent skills in design, debugging, and problem-solving  
• Motivated to learn and push the boundaries in challenging technical domains 
• Capable of working independently in a hybrid work environment  
• Proficient in English - both written and verbal communication skills 

Ideal (not required) Qualifications  

• Experience developing in a standards-based web environment  
• Experience with developing and operating public facing websites  
• Experience with application user experience development 
• Experience with back-end or microservices development 
• Kubernetes and containers familiarity
