Software Engineer 2

As a Software Engineer 2 in the Mesh Platform and Services team, you will work alongside product managers, research, 3 Dimensional (3D) experiences and other partner teams building the next generation of services and media stacks that powers immersive, real-time collaboration experiences across a variety of devices

Required/Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
  • OR equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of experience in shipping highly scalable, networked user experiences, or performant 3D games, web applications and/or Mixed Reality experiences.  
• 1+ year of experience in building compliant CI/CD and release management pipelines. 

Other Requirements:

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:  

• Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.   

Preferred Qualifications  

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related technical field AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python 

•  OR Master’s degree in computer science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python 

• OR equivalent experience. 

• Experience with Unity, Unreal or other game development engines. 

• Demonstrated communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills with a solid understanding of the entire software development lifecycle. 

Software Engineering IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $94,300 - $182,600 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $120,900 - $198,600 per year.
