We, the Azure Core Compute team in IDC, pride ourselves in working without boundaries to deliver the cloud platform capable of running any workload. And we mean ANY! Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 6+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
  • OR equivalent experience.
• Experience in designing and building complex, scalable, and maintainable software systems/applications, utilizing engineering best practices like data structures, algorithms, and design patterns.

• Experience in
  • Linux system programming
  • OR building components of embedded systems
  • OR SoC or applications that run on them
  • OR Rust programming language
  • OR Hyper-V, VMWare, Docker or other virtualization technologies
  • OR improving service operations or engineering fundamentals.
  • OR GPUs/FPGAs and their programming stacks.
• Knowledge of Performance profiling tools.
• Ability to create componentized and well-architected software.

• Design, implement, optimize, debug, refactor and reuse code to establish and improve performance and maintainability, effectiveness and return on investment (ROI).
• Lead and drive the discussions to build the next gen architecture of products/solutions by collaborating with different partner teams in different geographies to meet the goals of the organization.
• Act as a Designated Responsible Individual (DRI) and guide other engineers by developing and following the playbook, working on call to monitor service for degradation or downtime, alerting stakeholders about status and initiate actions to restore service.
• Proactively seek new knowledge and adapt to new trends, technical solutions and patterns that will improve the availability, reliability, efficiency, observability, and performance of products while also driving consistency in monitoring and operations at scale.
