The Linux System Group (LSG) inside Core OS is responsible for providing high quality Linux platforms to power services and devices across Cloud, Edge and Client. We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer who is interested in Linux and is passionate about open-source projects. If you are interested in working on Linux and open-source projects, this is the job for you!

Required Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or related technical discipline AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python,
    • OR equivalent experience.

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • 2+ years of experience in system-level development on Linux in C
  • Understanding and familiarity with Linux kernel and driver development 
  • Experience in Git, ARM64, board bring-up, device drivers, and hardware busses (i2c, PCI, etc.). 
  • Hardware/system knowledge on system on chip 
  • A history of contributing to the Linux kernel or other open-source projects 

Software Engineering IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $112,000 - $218,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $145,800 - $238,600 per year.
