We are the IDNA Security team with the mission to protect Entra services. For that role, we are looking for a Principal Software Engineer to join our mission of protecting Entra by building and operating the security frameworks that make Entra and its customers the most secure in the world. Required/Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or related technical discipline AND 6+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python

  • OR equivalent experience.

• 2+ years of experience with technical expertise in one of Identity Access Management systems or Infrastructure, Operational security at scale.

Other Requirements: 

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: 

• Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Additional or Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 10+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python o OR Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 8+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
  • OR equivalent experience.
• Experience on AI and data technologies.

Software Engineering IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $133,600 - $256,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $173,200 - $282,200 per year. We are looking for passionate Principal Software Engineer with security mindset in distributed systems, identity and access management who can design and deliver detection, protection hardening systems. Some of the core responsibilities include:

• Promoting and enforcing architectural and operational standards for proactive risk reduction, containment.
• Build and run security systems, data platforms that provide detection of anti-patterns and anomalies via machine learning.
• Secure Entra services with fine-grained controls and minimum standing privileges between systems.
• Collaborate across multiple services, organizations in IDNA and establish durable isolation frameworks to reduce blast radius, lateral movement. Evolve engineering platform to provide service integrity guarantees across the infrastructure stack.
