Job Description

Job Summary:

The ideal candidate will have 5-7 years of experience in managing AWS cloud infrastructure with Linux based servers. Prior experience in DevOps and CI/CD tools. Additional experience in Middleware administration and dockers is also good to have.

Primary responsibilities:

This position will work in the Synapse team and will be responsible for designing and implementing AWS-based infrastructure. Responsibilities span across fields of network, application deployment and infrastructure, groups to design a secure, agile, effective AWS cloud environment.

● Design and Implement Cloud Infrastructure: Architect, design, and implement scalable and highly available cloud infrastructure solutions using AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, and Lambda.

● Support and troubleshoot RedHat Enterprise Linux Servers.

● DevOps and CI/CD Pipeline Management: Develop and manage continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines using tools like Jenkins, Github CI/CD, or AWS Codedeploy.

● Provide technical support to application teams.

● To be able to administrate the OS Level patches and vulnerability fix/report as per the SOX audit control.

● Work with the rest of the SRE team and wider architecture teams to develop new cloud models.

● Architect Infrastructure solutions to ensure security, scalability, resilience and maintainability.

● Design and build Cloud Monitoring and logging services.

Required and Mandatory Skills for External Applicants:

1. AWS Services: knowledge of various AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, IAM, CloudFormation, and CloudWatch.

2. DevOps Methodologies: Familiarity with DevOps principles and practices, including continuous integration, continuous delivery (CI/CD), and infrastructure automation.

3. Strong Linux server administration skills.

4. Experience with deploying applications on AWS.

5. Strong IP networking skills including VPN's, DNS, load balancing and firewall.

6. Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Good to Have:

1. Middleware applications (tomcat, weblogic) and web server (apache and Nginx) administration experience.

2. Scripting skills, i.e., Python, Bash etc.

Designation: Senior Site Reliability Engineer, 1

Working Hours: 1:00 PM to 10:00 PM IST and 2:30 PM to 11:30 PM IST. Weekly rotational Oncall support.
