Principal Quality Engineer

As a Principal Quality Engineer, you will work as part of the product engineering team responsible for developing testing strategies to effectively test both backend and frontend web technology. The ideal candidate will have basic programming skills such as Python, working knowledge of Linux operating system, test automation,  hands-on experiences with Linux Shell command  and other industry tools. Knowledge of Networking is desired. Basic knowledge of AWS/GCP is essential. 

Responsibilities

●      Work and collaborate closely with the product engineering team to define test strategy

●      Estimate QA deliverables, design test strategies and create test plans, setup test environment and execute to define QA schedules

●      Document test results, analyze and report bugs and errors found during testing and post production.

●      Collaborate with cross functional teams to ensure product quality and customer satisfaction

●      Define and report key quality metrics to measure testing status and effectiveness

●      Troubleshoot customer issues and interface with appropriate engineers to facilitate issue resolution

●      Design and develop new automated tests leveraging automated testing tools and framework

●      Continuous integration process improvement and innovation

Requirements

●      10+ years of industry experience with testing methodologies

●      10+ years of hands-on experience in both Manual testing and developing test automation using python or equivalent 

●      Experience in networking technologies is required

●      Solid experience with Cloud and Core AWS/GCP services

●      Experience in adapting and improving engineering best practices

●      Understanding of HTTP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript and other web and browser concepts desirable

●      Exposure to automation framework desired 

●      Exposure/Experience in Scale/Performance testing

●      Familiar with enterprise software quality requirements

●      Experience testing within virtual environments a plus

●      Excellent communication skills

●      Comfortable and adaptable in a high-paced and informal environment

●      Proactive, self-motivated, and strong ability to learn new things with little guidance

●      Highly organized and thorough with critical attention to detail and documentation

●      BE/BTech  or Masters required
