Senior Software Engineer (Emerging Web Technologies, Full Stack Development and QA)

Overview of Role:
Mastercard Foundry R&D is looking for brilliant, passionate, and innovative software developers to join its innovation center in Singapore. In this role, you will be a key member of a highly agile group driving hard to create innovative commerce solutions in the emerging technology domains.

Responsibilities:
• Design, Code, document, test components / subsystems complying to industry standards.
• Proficient in all aspects of testing including unit tests, functional tests, and performance testing.
• Must work both independently and part of global Foundry Team; ensuring that actions are aligned with Group / Company strategy.
• Must be solutions oriented – ultimately find and implement the ‘best fit’ solution to address the requirement on time.
• Passion for learning and adapting to new technologies.
• Interpret technical specifications to produce detailed design.
• Design with future extension in mind (with a focus on scalability and feasibility)
• Perform functional and performance testing of solutions.
• Ensure code is easily maintainable and tracked in version control system.
• Identify best-of-breed methods / tools / API’s and assess technical fit.
• Actively participate in architectural and innovation brainstorming sessions with the team.
• Provide task estimates, level of complexity assessment and inputs to scheduling of projects.
• Ensure tasks get executed on time and to required standards.
• Impart your knowledge of various technologies to other team members and to other functions to help each other to grow and be better at what we do.
• Driven to deliver the highest quality solutions within challenging time constraints with the team.

All About You:
• Bachelor's degree Computer Science (or related discipline) is preferred.
• Minimally 5 years of relevant working experience in Agile software development.
• Good grasp of Frontend development (CSS, HTML5, JavaScript, TypeScript, Angular/ React).
• Mobile Development (iOS, Android).
• Good knowledge of Test Driven Development (TDD) and / or Behavior Driven Development (BDD) approaches.
• Strong understanding of Software testing methodologies, principles and best practices (Note: Experience in QA Testing is preferred but not mandatory as the hiring team is happy to provide training, if required).

• Test framework (JUnit / TestNG, Gherkin / Cucumber, Gatling, Selenium).
