Responsibilities:

• Own your project, while checking in with other team members throughout the day with questions and updates
• You leave the code in a better state than when you found it (progressive refactor)
• You value reliability, ensured by testing (unit, integration and load tests)
• Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and distribute knowledge
• Continuous integration and deployment
• Go home knowing that your work today is meaningfully improving the lives of every Lyft driver and every Lyft passenger!

Experience:

• Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science or a related field from a university in Mexico
• Available during Fall 2023 for a 12-week, 40 hours per week internship
• Strong knowledge of CS fundamentals
• Good English communication skills
• Knowledge of JavaScript, CSS, and HTML
• Experience working with modern JavaScript frameworks, like React
• Passion for community, sustainability, and/or transportation
• Ability to thrive in a startup environment
• Experience with real-time technology problems
• Contributions to open source projects
• Experience working with databases
• Experience solving real-time technology problems
• Previous work with social networks

Responsabilidades:

• Tomar responsabilidad sobre tus proyectos, mientras estar comunicándote con otros miembros del equipo con preguntas y durante el día
• Dejas el código en mejor estado de cuando lo encontraste (progressive refactor)
• Valoras fiabilidad, garantizada por las pruebas (pruebas unitarias, de integración y de carga)

Experiencia:

• Actualmente cursando un título en Ciencias de Computación o en sujeto relacionado de una universidad en Mexico
• Estar disponible para una pasantía durante el Otoño de 2023 por 12 semanas, 40 horas por semana
• Conocimiento de Fundamentos de Códigos Científicos 
• Buenas habilidades de comunicación en Inglés
• Conocimiento de los lenguajes de JavaScript, CSS y HTML
• Experiencia trabajando con marcos modernos de JavaScript, como React
• Interés en comunidad, la sostenibilidad o/y transportación
• Capacidad para prosperar en un entorno de inicio
• Experiencia con problemas tecnológicos en tiempo real
• Contribuciones a proyectos de código abierto
• Experiencia trabajando con bases de datos
• Experiencia resolviendo problemas tecnológicos en tiempo real
• Trabajo con redes sociales
