This role is providing the opportunity to work in the CTO organization on a product engineering team, building one of the most innovative products of the industry in the space of multi-cloud and hybrid-cloud computing, contributing to creating a platform for brokering and managing all the cloud providers.

Some of the responsibilities of the job include:

• Collaborating with architects and leads for defining and validating the architecture and the software design of the components and modules to be implemented in the platform.

• Designing and implementing new features and components of the system, both on the domain model with NoSQL DB back-end and the implementation of the APIs and business logic with various libraries.

• Analyzing and improving the design and the implementation of the product's code and optimizing it for performance, scalability and reliability.

• Integrating and configuring the developed services into the micro-services architecture using Docker containers and Kubernetes orchestration tools.

Looking for an experience senior software developer with good software architecture and design knowledge, but also with full hands-on coding skills.

Required Technical and Professional Experience

• 7+ years of experience working as a back-end software developer, designing and building complex enterprise software products or projects. 

• Excellent coding skills and solid development experience in high programming languages (Python, GOlang, NodeJS, Java) with debugging and problem-solving skills.

• Knowledge of software architecture and software design concepts and patterns, as well as experience of applying them in the development of enterprise level software products.

• In-depth experience with building independent inter-communicating micro-services based on APIs and implemented with RESTful and related technologies and the best practices related to their implementation.

• Experienced in development with NoSQL databases, data mapping, JSON schemas and related technologies.

• Knowledge and experience with the micro-services architecture, software containers, orchestration tools and related technologies (like Docker containers, Kubernetes)

• Exposure and understanding of general cloud concepts and technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP, VMware or similar).

• Experience with software development and delivery methodologies (like Agile, SCRUM, Kanban or similar), with demonstrated experience developing scalable and robust software.

• Experience with DevOps tools and modern engineering practices.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical field.

Preferred Technical and Professional Experience

• Hands on in-depth knowledge and experience in designing and developing commercial software products, with experience in Python or GOlang programming languages and related tech stack

• Advanced software architecture & design, design patterns and best practices for optimizing the performance, reliability and scalability of the software systems

• Advanced knowledge and experience with NoSQL database servers and related technologies (preferably MongoDB)

• Practical working experience with cloud computing technologies and APIs for public cloud providers such as AWS, Azure, GCP and similar

• Tech lead or related experience on taking technical decisions and working with teams of software developers

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, as well as leadership skills

• Master’s degree in Computer Science or related technical field

If you are hired, the anticipated compensation range for the position is $89,030 to $203,000 based on a full-time schedule.  Your ultimate compensation may vary depending on your geography, job-related skills and experience. For part time roles, the compensation will be adjusted appropriately. The pay or salary range will not be below any applicable state, city or local minimum wage requirement.
 

This position will be eligible for Kyndryl’s discretionary annual bonus program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Kyndryl’s applicable plans. You may also receive a comprehensive benefits package which includes medical and dental coverage, disability, retirement benefits, paid leave, and paid time off.  Note: If this is a sales commission eligible role, you will be eligible to participate in a sales commission plan in lieu of the annual discretionary bonus program.
