The Role

Reporting - The role reports to the UK Territory Leader . 

DataCentre & Office Management Responsibilities 
•    Interlock with Data Centre Strategy FM Team in order to monitor all limiting factors within the data centre (space, power, cooling, floor load) while keeping at N+1 redundancy
•    Recommend remedial actions, if applicable to maintain N+1
•    Managing the operational relationship with the Third Party Leases Suppliers
•    Escalation point for Facilities issues, incidents and outages
•    Act as Focal point to business for major incidents 
•    Interlock with the Compliance Manager to ensure adherence to Facilities Conduct guidelines, DC Access, physical and environmental controls  
•    Interface with Kyndryls  change & Risk management process 
•    Maintain best of breed processes, procedures and tools for Location activities
•    Own, for the Strategic DC’s in UK, the action plans resulting from reviews, audits and technical reviews

Cost Management Responsibilities

•    Manage operational costs and identify opportunities for cost take out
•    Manage all FTE Demand requirements for the team, ensuring Demand records match the workload
•    Manage suppliers (CBRE FM ) ensuring all contracted deliverables are met and costs kept to a minimum

Asset Management Responsibilities

•    Task Management of the DataCentre Asset Manager and Service across the geographical scope of the service

DC & Office  Projects & New Business 
•    Represent Datacentre competency in Engagements when requested, and responsible for creation of DC solutions  
•    Perform due diligence, produce Indicative pricing solution, BAFO pricing and solution and production of solution detail for input to contract   
•    Work closely with the UK Data Centre Leader and DC Strategy & Planning Lead for DC offerings, 
•    Notify UK DC Manager and DC Strategy & Planning Lead and OIS Business Management of any new floor space requirements 

d.    Data Centre Installation Services
For Data Centre installation Services provided in the Data Centres, The DC manager will manage the  Supplier who will be responsible for the following Data Centre hardware activities:
•    Installation and/or removal of Site cabinets;
•    Racking or un-racking equipment;
•    Localised patching of equipment;
•    Installation / removal of cross connects;
•    Installation of protective and functional earthing, within the cabinet;
•    Quality assurance checks; and
•    Maintaining and updating appropriate documentation or associated CMDB

Who You Are

1.  Minimum 5 Yrs experience in senior position within a Large strategic DC or Portfolio of DC`s. . 3 . creation and submission of all business cases for both internal and client related Real Estate commitments and investments 4. five  Yrs experience managing  External FM & Technical vendors to leverage value for the business. 

1. CDCMP ( certified Datacentre management professional) 
2. Qualified up to Degree level ( Electrical/Mechanical/ Engineering )
