The position

The new Head of Customer Solutions Engineering (CSE) will be responsible for managing the CSE-organization for KONE Nordics and ensuring the successful delivery of modernization and new building solution projects to KONE customers. As head of CSE you will together with the team and key stakeholders define the best way to be organized and drive results in Nordics CSE. You will drive development programs on Nordic level and oversee that there is adequate technical expertise to understand customer needs and thereby, through CSE-managers and teams, ensuring projects are delivered to the highest standard of quality, on time and within budget. In addition, the head of CSE drives technical solution compliance with engineering policy, safety regulations, local codes & standards for full solution lifecycle.

This position is highly influential and collaborative, working effectively across all functions at KONE that contribute to or depend on successful customer outcomes. From day one, you will play a major role in the ongoing Tendering and Engineering Transformation: applying LEAN in CSE, increasing engineering output (in units and MV), driving engineering first time right, and freeing up more time for value-adding activities such as customer early engagement.

A stable, positive and confident leader with an ability to navigate and reach out within the KONE organization through good communication and listening skills. Someone who can be a strong ambassador for the CSE team towards the rest of the organization, understand their context and be able to bring direction and lead the team to reach common goals. Your leadership style is forward-leaning and characterized by drive, initiative and a strong desire for development. In addition, you are great at building and maintaining strong relationships and networks to achieve wider KONE goals.

Someone who has prior experience from Change management and the capability to lead through the change without compromising the ongoing work. To succeed in this, we believe that you have a lot of empathy in driving change and doing it in a people centric manner and that you operate successfully in diverse teams. You also have a strong professional approach when it comes to collaborate with different stakeholders such as regional teams, sales teams and delivery operations teams.

To be successful in this role you would need to fill the following requirements

  • Senior leader with proven record in leading expert organization
  • Inclusive and people centric leadership style that solicits and is receptive to input from team members but is also decisive once inputs are obtained.
  • Excellent communication skills, both internally and externally, in a variety of formats and circumstances required for a senior, customer-facing role.
  • Ability to manage relationships and communication at all levels, inspiring others to collaborate, succeed, and to support the CSE mission.
  • Proven track record in management capabilities in international environment. Ability to thrive and deliver results across multiple geographic areas and cultures.
  • Experienced change leader with proven results
  • Commercial business experience and/or strong business orientated mind-set
  • Business fluency in English, both spoken and written.
  • Experience in customer solution engineering considered and asset.
