What You’ll Do

• Collaborate with different teams at Kaseya to build and maintain R&D infrastructure for backup products.
• Develop software to automate tasks.
• Keep inventory of resources up to date.
• Provision, configure and maintain virtualization systems.
• Passionately promote Datto’s core values. Promote collaboration and team growth.
• Identify gaps in processes and tasks. Be an advocate of continuous improvement.
• Be a positive role model that others want to follow and be inspired by.
• Participate in a rotational on-call program and enhance troubleshooting techniques and utilities to ensure quick resolution to service-impacting issues.

Skills You’ll Need

• Linux configuration and administration.
• Computer networking.
• Experience with Python and Ansible.
• 5+ years of experience delivering reliable and maintainable software.
• Comfortable working with the command line on Linux (e.g. bash scripts).
• Fundamentals in software engineering.

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with network attached storage technologies such as Ceph.
• Block and object storage experience.
• Experience with one or more hypervisor technologies such as KVM, OpenStack, Kubevirt, Proxmox, VMWare, Hyper-V.
• Scripting in Bash and PowerShell.
• Linux file systems such as EXT, XFS
• Experience working with public clouds, hypervisors, Docker, Kubernetes.
• S. or M.S. in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
