The Opportunity 💻
As the Head of Engineering, you will play a pivotal role in steering our technical strategy. This isn't just about managing a team; it's about leveraging your expertise to drive impactful solutions. Your canvas includes blockchain, fintech innovations, and a commitment to social impact. Work directly with the founders making meaningful contributions at a global scale.
Responsibilities
- Lead and cultivate a team of highly skilled engineers, setting the standard for technical excellence and efficiency.
- Spearhead the development of financial solutions, ensuring they align with our mission and meet the highest industry standards.
- Collaborate seamlessly with cross-functional teams across our global offices to execute and refine our technical vision.
- Drive a culture of innovation, ensuring that our technology remains on the cutting edge of the industry.
Example Projects You Will Lead
- Build Jia’s wallet, DeFi and capital markets liquidity pools, and other blockchain-based financial services
- Expand Jia’s partner-facing MSME financing platform that unlocks working capital across small business networks, distribution channels and supply chains.
- Develop Jia’s mobile applications tailored for emerging markets customers.
Qualifications
- Proven leadership experience in engineering, with a preference for backgrounds in fintech, blockchain, or related industries. Ideally you have managed high-performing teams of 20 engineers at fast-growth startups.
- In-depth knowledge of cutting-edge technologies and a track record of successfully implementing them in real-world applications.
- A strong advocate for social impact, with a history of using technology to drive positive change.
- Experience managing and scaling distributed engineering teams across different geographical locations.
- Experience and successful track record of executing a product roadmap.
- Ability to hire and expand the engineering team.
- Fluent spoken and written English.
