What You’ll Be Doing 

The Lead Software Engineer will be responsible for… 

  • Spearheading the development of advanced products and platforms designed to empower our healthcare partners in providing quality patient care through financially sustainable behavioral health programs 

  • Partnering closely with the DevOps and Data Engineers to build a holistic data platform and future partner-facing products 

  • Designing and developing intuitive and responsive user interfaces using React.js and other modern JavaScript frameworks 

  • Leading the execution of complex initiatives while defining best practices for high quality software development 

  • Ensuring front-end applications are scalable, secure, and deliver an exceptional user experience 

  • Building and maintaining robust back-end services, APIs, and databases to support our AI-enabled data insights platform and other future products 

  • Ensuring seamless integration between front-end and back-end, focusing on performance and scalability 

  • Collaborating closely with product managers, data scientists, and other engineers to define and implement features that optimize product efficiency and effectiveness 

  • Developing the codebase for scale and extensibility for future growth 

  • Conducting code reviews to ensure adherence to best practices and high-quality standards across the codebase 

  • Identifying and addressing performance bottlenecks and technical challenges, ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our products/platforms 

The tech stack you’ll work with includes Typescript, React, Node.js, .NET Core, AWS, DynamoDB, GitHub 

 

What You’ll Need 

We want to make sure all our employees are set up for success from the get-go and that everyone is a great fit for their individual role. 

You’ll definitely succeed if you have: 

  • 4-5 years of experience in full stack development, with strong front-end and back-end skills 

  • Expertise in React.js and related front-end technologies (e.g., Redux, React Router) 

  • Strong proficiency in TypeScript, JavaScript, .NET Core Blazor, HTML, and CSS 

  • Experience in building and maintaining back-end services using technologies such as Node.js, .NET Core, and relational or NoSQL databases 

  • Experience building scalable serverless applications leveraging streams, queues, and lambdas 

  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs and experience integrating them with front-end applications 

  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines 

  • Strong problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to tackling technical challenges 

  • The ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities 

  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) 

  • Exceptional communication skills and a collaborative mindset 

 

What Would Set You Apart 

We’ll be looking for these standout qualifications as we review your resume. If you have these, you’ll be a cut above the rest and an ideal fit for this role: 

  • Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience) 

  • Previous experience navigating ambiguity, taking light requirements, and building products from the ground up in a startup/small team environment 

  • Familiarity with AI/ML concepts and their application in healthcare technology 

  • Knowledge of healthcare technology, particularly EMR/EHR systems 

  • Knowledge of microservices architecture and scalable system design
