Job Description: 

Come intern with one of the largest engineering companies in the world. Intel's Technology Development Automation is hiring an Automation Integration Intern. As part of our team, you will support innovative solutions specially crafted for the ever-changing needs of our highly automated factories locally and across the globe. To integrate these solutions, you will work closely with our team to design and further develop systems, internal utilities, and applications while updating or creating supporting documentation. Your day may include scripting new tasks for automated checklists that setup, convert, or decommission factory equipment, enhancing error messages, enabling streamlined or bulk configuration updates, and creating reports or dashboards for additional data analysis. In this role you will have the opportunity to expand your skills: Writing and testing scripts in a simulated environment. Utilizing communication skills to increase collaboration, create consensus and understand technical challenges during requirements gathering. Analyzing existing data and surrounding processes and procedures to determine more efficient solutions. Use technical documentation skills to document requirements, processes, procedures, and training. The candidate should also exhibit the following behavioral traits and/or skills: Proactive person, able to be a self-starter, critical analysis, logical approach, creative problem solving, continuous improvement mindset. Demonstrate data analytics and storytelling skills to communicate complex data in a simple, actionable way, paired with creativity. Flexibility to work in a dynamic, team-oriented environment. Enthusiastic collaborator and organizer. This internship will take place in 2024. Candidate must be an active student during the internship length.

Qualifications:

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
Minimum Qualifications:
Candidate must be pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Automation Control, Electronics and Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.

College classes in:
Writing technical documentation and
Software development
Preferred Qualifications:

3+ months experience in Software development.
Scripting experience (PowerShell, VBScript, or C#).
SQL.
XML.
Data Visualization.
Project Management.
LEAN and Agile methodologies.

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in

US, Colorado, New York, Washington, California:$40,000.00-$108,000.00

Salary range dependent on a number of factors including location and experience.

Work Model for this Role

This role is available as a fully home-based and generally would require you to attend Intel sites only occasionally based on business need. This role may also be available as our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
