As a Power and Performance Engineer Intern or PnP Engineer Intern, you will be responsible for PnP product execution focused on measurements and analysis. Use technical data and measurements of Intel silicon to help internal marketing teams, internal engineering teams, debug Intel silicon/platform on PnP issues, and be part of PnP execution for Intel products.

This role is On-site- (No Hybrid/No Remote Options)

Core responsibilities to include following:

  • Measure, analyze, and debug workloads to call out any power and/or performance gaps and close with internal engineering teams/architects

  • Measure and analyze SoC/CPU and platform power on a rail by rail basis and debug any issues/gaps

  • Align with other internal engineers to ensure consensus on power and performance measurements

  • Using a pre-production/internal test platform to measure both power and performance to help analysis for future Intel products

  • Motivated self-learner/self-starter and ability to quickly adapt to changes

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills - Experience developing customized content for a technical audience a plus

Qualifications:

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Relevant experience can be obtained through schoolwork, classes and project work, internships, and/or work experience.

Minimum Qualifications:

You must be pursuing a Master's Degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or similar STEM degreeand have 1+ years' experience in the following:

  • Knowledge of computer architecture and computer hardware

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge of CPU micro-architecture (knowledge of x86 CPU uArch added plus)

  • Prior experience with Intel products or other CPU products in a post-silicon engineering environment is a plus

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in

US, California:$63,000.00-$166,000.00

Salary range dependent on a number of factors including location and experience.
