Intel is actively seeking software architects to help design and drive architecture for accelerating AI systems. As an AI Software Architect, you will be collaborating with other engineering teams working on AI infrastructure, neural network designs and independent software vendors. Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
Architect, design, and provide technical oversight of the development of Intel AI software.
Scope may span the entire stack including firmware, compilers, drivers, frameworks, protocols, algorithms, and/or applications.
Provide software structure and validation direction as required to enable Intel AI software solutions that integrate AI algorithms to solve applied problems in various disciplines.
Responsible for pathfinding and providing technical direction for AI software development to solve applied problems across disciplines, including Computer Vision, NLP, and Large Language Models.
Interact with technologists across Intel and within the industry to evaluate feasibility of requirements and determine priorities for development.
Behavioral skills we are looking for:
Collaborate with hardware and product teams to influence the direction of deep learning HW and SW
Ability to work independently and lead one's own development efforts.
Qualifications:
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related STEM degree and 9+ years relevant industry experience, or
Master's Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related STEM degree and 6+ years relevant industry experience.
And 4+ years of experience in:
Compiler Architecture
Documentation, gathering technical requirements
Performance modeling
Experience with Compute acceleration of AI workloads on NPU and GPU
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with frameworks such as TensorFlow, ONNX, PyTorch
Experience with Compute acceleration of AI workloads such as Encoder/Decoder workloads, LLMs
Experience with performance modeling, analysis, and profiling of key deep learning inference workloads
Experience with Compiler Architecture and prototyping compiler optimization techniques for deep learning networks

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in
US, California:$203,833.00-$325,999.00Salary range dependent on a number of factors including location and experience.
Work Model for this Role
This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.0 applies
