Software Engineering Manager for Identity Service

What we do

• We build an identity service at scale that helps our product teams to synchronize user data and provides a smoother experience to our users across our products.
• This is a greenfield project. Initial joiners will have a large influence on how it’s implemented.
• We grow great products by investing in the teams that create them: the hallmarks of our engineering culture are constructive code review, hackweeks, internal conferences, a bias to action, thoughtful mentorship, and regular communication.
• We work with Amazon Web Services to provision infrastructure, reduce costs, and scale traffic.
• We write testable, performant code that can scale to tens of millions of requests per day.
• Mentor and teach other engineers, encouraging best practices and fostering code reuse.

What we look for

• People leadership skills. Any previous line management experience is a big plus, but technical leadership experience is also accepted.
• Strong communication skills in English and Hungarian.
• 8+ years of experience in modern programming languages, preferably Java or JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Understanding and having experience with identity technologies (OAuth 2, SSO implementations, SAML, LDAP,..)
• Experience in implementing identity management solutions (e.g. Ping Identity, Auth0, home grown) for a large customer user base, preferably globally.
• Experience with cloud-hosted, high-traffic applications, especially via AWS
• Experience with databases relational or non-relational.
• A bias to action, desire for ownership, and love for problem-solving.
• Demonstrated excellence in programming, debugging, architecture, and devops — our engineers design, build, and deploy their own code.
