About the Role

 

We are seeking a senior product manager who will own our growth data portfolio. This scope includes our targeting platform, our data warehouse and all our marketing event pipelines.

 

You will  work in collaboration with engineering, data science, economists and marketing leadership, to build the foundation that powers how we target customers and helps us understand the performance of all our growth campaigns.

About the Team

 

The Growth Systems team owns the set of systems that power our Marketing engine and customer experiences both in the Instacart app and across our marketing channels (TV, Social, Search, Email). Our teams own the E2E systems from our back-end platforms, data and machine learning to our tooling and all the way to the customer experience.

 

We are a passionate team of 100+ engineers, data scientists, designers, marketers and product managers focused on driving growth for Instacart. We operate as a high-trust team where we spend time and energy ensuring everyone is clear on the “why”, where we believe the #1 way to grow is to deliver high quality products and where we “do less but obsess”.

 

About the Job 

 

  • Manage the roadmap and execution for our data warehouses and events pipelines for a large set of channels (incentives, search marketing and outbound marketing)
  • Drive forward strategy on all aspects of the data stack especially our targeting platform. With a particular focus on how we can best use Machine Learning while enabling Marketers.
  • Lead product planning, product & customer discovery, the product development process, effort estimation, and collaboration with teams across the organization (i.e. Engineering and Design).
  • Identify opportunities via qualitative & quantitative research, case studies, and reviews of industry-standard methodologies.
  • Intake & validate new ideas through a set of frameworks and drive them into implementable projects.
  • Serve as the point person for your product area to leadership and across the organization.
  • Promote best design practices and user experiences while creating a scalable & easy-to-use product that connects with its users.

 

About You

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5+ years of Product Management experience
  • Experience managing data products and marketing solutions
  • Experience working in deeply technical domains with the ability to quickly ramp up when onboarding into new areas
  • Experience partnering with technical audiences and “translating” to senior audiences across functions
  • Direct experience partnering with Data Science and Marketing teams to identify new roadmap opportunities
  • Ability to manage and align multiple stakeholders



Preferred Qualifications

 

  • Experience partnering with Machine Learning teams to inform data strategy
  • Experience in influencing and building out multi year strategy
