Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled, influential, and experienced Technical Project Manager who excels in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.  The Technical Project Manager will work closely with customer stakeholders, senior executives, management, and internal cross-functional teams to coordinate project management activities to ensure the integrity and success of projects by achieving steady measurable progress toward defined goals; efficiently executing project management practices; regular reporting; and monitoring and measurement of success metrics.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the project plan to outline specific project tasks, milestone dates, and deliverables
• Define and manage project scope, budget, schedules, and timelines
• Prepare, distribute, and present progress reports
• Organize and lead project status and working meetings
• Manage changes, risks, actions, issues, and decisions and correct deviations from plan
• Hold teams accountable for their commitments, removing roadblocks to their work
• Leverage organizational resources to improve capacity for project work
• Support Product Owners in managing customer expectations for project deliverables
• Manage stakeholder communications and help to implement an effective system of project governance
• Champion ongoing process improvement initiatives
• Promote empowerment of the team, ensure that each team member is fully engaged in the project and making a meaningful contribution, and encourage a sustainable pace with high levels of quality for the team
• Identify resource needs for the project and source these resources
• Deliver the project accurately and in accordance with contract terms
• Maintain project documentation including documented project approvals, meeting minutes, etc.
• Plan for and monitor project expenditures to ensure they are in line with the budget
• Provide regular updates on financial status and progress including preparation of financial reports which detail spending, forecasting, and overall budget health
• Know and use all key customer resolution tools across all service groups to facilitate rapid resolution of customer concerns
• Maintain strict confidentiality
• Be mobile and travel to client locations as needed

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field or equivalent business experience
• 5+ years of experience managing enterprise projects
• High level of agility and ability manage change
• Ability to work proactively and constructively in a fast-paced, collaborative, matrixed team environment
• Communication skills; high level of comfort communicating effectively across internal and external organizations
• Presentation skills; high degree of comfort with both large and small audiences

Preferred qualifications

• PMP or similar certification
• Experience with Agile techniques: User Stories, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Pairing, Automated Testing
• Knowledge of other Agile approaches, like Kanban, and familiarity with traditional project management approaches
