Head of Software & Technology

Role Overview:

Infinite Machine is seeking a Head of Software & Technology to build and lead across all software and hardware systems in our cutting-edge vehicles. This person will be responsible for overseeing our on-vehicle operating systems, backend infrastructure, applications, computational hardware, and emerging vehicle technologies. The ideal candidate has experience with electric vehicles and hardware, a deep passion for our product and mission, and a hacker’s mindset. We are a small team. This person will write code and lay the architecture for our vehicles in years to come.

Key Responsibilities:

• Software Oversight: Manage and enhance our on-vehicle operating systems, backend architecture, and mobile applications to ensure seamless integration and performance.

• Computational Hardware Management: Oversee the development and integration of computational hardware components such as dashboards, vehicle control systems, and embedded electronics.

• Innovation Leadership: Drive innovation in new vehicle technologies including drivetrain systems, battery advancements, and safety technologies.

• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, design, and product teams to ensure alignment and integration of software and hardware developments.

• Technology Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive technology strategy that supports our product roadmap and business objectives.

• Software Management: Establish and enforce best practices for software development, testing, and deployment to ensure high-quality and reliable products.

• Research & Development: Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Minimum of 5 years in software and hardware development roles, with experience in electric vehicles or similar advanced technologies.

• Technical Expertise: Deep knowledge of software engineering principles, computational hardware, and vehicle systems.

• Innovation Mindset: Proven track record of driving technological innovation and implementing cutting-edge solutions.

• Leadership Skills: Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional teams and managing complex projects.
