Your Role

We’re looking for an Electrical Engineering Manager to technically oversee the design, development and maintenance of our camera product family (centered around Hudl Focus). These products are autonomous cameras that utilise edge AI to automatically track the action and upload to the cloud, offering our customers seamless access to vital, real-time video and insights. 

In this role, you’ll: 

  • Lead our team. Talented electrical and mechanical engineers will look to you to show them the path to best-in-class performance and quality and aid in solving our most difficult challenges. 
  • Be the technical face of the team. You’ll act as the point of contact for technical discussions with internal and external stakeholders—you’ll connect, review and collaborate on their design solutions and qualification plans, and make informed decisions on technologies, components and solutions. 
  • Own the work. You’ll ensure our products are robust, future-proof and cost-effective. You'll also be accountable for the planning and on-time delivery of high quality work from your team. 

For this role, we're currently considering candidates who live within a commuting distance of our office in Den Bosch. But with our flexible work policy, there aren't any current requirements for the number of days you come to the office.

Must-Haves

  • Expertise in complex electronics. You have a solid foundation in hardware engineering, alongside a proven track record of delivering state-of-the-art electronics designs, boards and products.
  • Knowledge of wired and wireless communication protocols. You’re familiar with areas such as PCIe, I2C, UART, MIPI (wired) and Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and 4G/5G (wireless).
  • Experience with high-end SOM. You’ve built products based on high end System on Modules containing CPU/GPU/AI accelerators, as well as video ingestion and processing capabilities.
  • Similar product experience. You’ve worked on the development and delivery of cameras or other related products.

Nice-to-Haves

  • External partner collaboration. You’ve worked with JDM/ODM/CM models and with hardware suppliers.
  • Lifecycle know-how. You understand the mechanical development lifecycle of electronics products.
