Job Summary

We are currently looking for an experienced Leader to manage the Current Business Management team of Office Printing Hardware Business. Looking for candidates with deep subject matter expertise, paired with an appetite for innovation and a commitment to driving results and make an impact in a dynamic environment. The position is responsible for enabling Market Quota and ensuring other Business metric achievement besides enabling Unit, Revenue and Margin growth both short- and long-term as key outcomes of successful Business Management activity. The role is hosted in Worldwide Business Management CoE of Print Category organization and liaises with a number of cross-functional teams and leaders (incl. Print Category Leaders, Product Management CoE, Category Ops, Sales Operations, Digital & Transformation Organization, Markets, Business Units, etc.), and frequently interfaces with C-level executives across HP.

Need Unique mastery and recognized authority on relevant subject matter knowledge including technologies, theories and techniques. Contributes to the development of innovative principles and ideas. Successfully operates in the most complex disciplines, in which the company must operate to be successful. Provides highly innovative solutions. Leads large, cross-division functional teams or projects that affect the organizations long-term goals and objectives. May participate in cross-division, multi-function teams. Provides mentoring and guidance to subordinates. Routinely exercises independent judgment in developing methods, techniques and criteria for achieving objectives. Develops strategy and sets functional policy and direction. Acts as a functional manager within area of expertise managing other employees as a primary job function.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead the team of CBMs.
  • The Business Management Team Leader will be setting the Goals for the Markets,
  • Pricing Management and approvals
  • Enabling Markets to deliver on their nos. 
  • Will be doing the in-quarter biz management.
  • Facilitate on Pricing and PFV
  • Driving the growth plans & initiatives with the Markets.
  • Provide Business insights to the Markets.
  • Drive operational efficiency projects.
  • Constant communication and cross collaboration with the Markets.
  • Drives high-impact business plan development that enables the execution of business strategies (e.g., implementing new growth initiatives, reducing costs).
  • Leads complex business planning initiatives, including global projects and cross-business unit levels.
  • Directs and prioritizes large, highly complex business planning projects by monitoring deliverables and milestones, including developing contingencies to minimize risks and maximize success.
  • Partners with business leaders on a wide range of business issues, including risk management, implementation tactics, and new opportunity development.
  • Oversees budget management for multiple, complex plans and projects and is accountable for adhering to stated budgets.
  • Oversees the development of project guidelines, plans, objectives, and deliverables.
  • Influences high-level business leaders by presenting compelling analyses and recommendations for optimizing business performance.
  • Orchestrates multiple large cross-functional teams and communications to facilitate projects and ensure   timely delivery.
  • Provides innovative thought leadership and shapes the knowledge base across multiple businesses, functions, or regions.
  • Oversees and manages the allocation of tools and resources to support team efforts.
  • Actively contributes/leads the definition of the category business plan.
  • Establishes relationships and represents team with sales force and other partners at senior level.
  • Product line and quota responsibility for a significant share of the product range, or a specific customer segment.
  • Functional responsibility for the team in one or several areas (market analysis, marketing engagement, communication etc).
  • As a key charter of Biz Management CoE, it is responsible to identify areas of organic and in-organic growth to ensure sustained future growth for OPS business.
  • Drive CBM team which is entrusted to identify, create viability and facilitate markets to execute growth plans and initiatives in their respective countries.
  • Business capacity creation in Markets. Identify areas of organic and inorganic growth for complex OPS business thru deep data analytics and commercial business landscape that Market BMs experience in each of their Markets.
  • Incorporate these in the 4P plans by making the right business case and integrate extended CoE and GBU teams for program management.
  • Jointly develop short term and long-term business plans along with Markets
  • Investment planning with markets for above plans and facilitate sponsorship from CoEs and Management
  • Analyze External challenges and able to build mitigation plan. Examples; mitigate Competitive challenges, Currency challenges, Political and macro-economic challenges. EOH challenges, Tactical Sellthru ramp-up programs.
  • WS integration – OPS Business Management Category with WS category and WS Sales to achieve end-to-end alignment of OPS Budget/ Quota execution.
  • Comprehensive Program Management of OPS Deals – Integration of Global Deals, Contractual Signed Deals Logs (SDL), Enterprise Named Account Funnel to align product allocation. Proactive Vs Reactive now.
  • Silver Bullet process for Deals allocation prioritization and guardrails to global deals/big deals.
  • Implementing unified WW deal tracker (teaming with Cat Ops), Improve deal capture process (eg. integrate with HP Dynamics)
  • Orchestrate the program management to encourage and drive Markets to Identify adjacencies and drive capacity creation in the markets. Like below:
  • Identify Verticals coverage plans. Example Color adoption in Education and making a product proposition along with PM CoE and FPM teams and establish business case with TAM and returns.
  • Geo Expansion plans with Markets e.g., Specific country growth plan, System Integrators expansion etc.
  • Govt, Federal, Public Sector expansion plans in compliance to their buying process with each Markets
  • Contractual business programs- Development of new business opportunities (HP refurbished program), Flexworker 2.0 implementation etc.
  • Assess opportunities and grow in specific market segments (A4 WG – CE/ A4 color – GC etc)
  • New products to address critical segments (e.g. Color A3 device in Segment 2 – 21-30ppm)
  • TAM expansion plan for Markets which have high shares. The ownership to expand Market is with HP where we have high shares.
    • Continuously monitor Product Line Logic and Price positioning and keep PM CoE involved.
    • PPG price harmonization program management with Markey facing BMs- HP Store, Amazon, Managed Final Tier Partners, cMPS catalogue, Local currency PPG set-up.
    • Managing EOL projects -Supply allocation and weekly follow-up with stakeholders (eg PWA, Teton)
    • Program Management of Tools development and optimization thru extended CoEs team like BIPE team

  • Exhibits authoritative business and financial acumen to develop meaningful business recommendations. Understands the portfolio aspect of HP's products/services and how the businesses work together.
  • Develops methods for supporting innovation and change across the organization.
  • Problem Solving approach in a rational manner using sound strategies that ensures comprehensive understanding and effective resolution.
  • Craft and articulate vision & strategies for success with the ability to communicate abstract ideas clearly
  • Proven track record of bringing diverse groups together to move initiatives forward and successfully bringing solutions to market.
  • Broad knowledge of marketing and marketing program implementation; knowledge of product life cycle, in-depth knowledge of the key marketing elements (product, pricing, place and promotion)
  • Exceptional ability to go deep on technology trends, architectural landscape and environment, road maps and managing a multi-year development cycle.
  • Significant ability to design customer centric experiences throughout the customer decision journey with customer engagements and market research.
